Dione Alexander has served as President of Village Capital Corporation since 2017. She is responsible for advancing VCC’s mission of investing in under-resourced neighborhoods and businesses in northeast Ohio. She attracts talent, capital, and innovation that supports lending to real estate development projects and entrepreneurial ventures that promote neighborhood vibrancy, economic opportunity, and equity and inclusion.
Prior to joining VCC, Ms. Alexander served as a Principal of RoundBox Consulting, a solutions firm dedicated to the social impact investing field. She previously served as the V.P. of the Midwest Region and the V.P. of National Capital Asset Development for Nonprofit Finance Fund (“NFF”), a national community development financial institution. Ms. Alexander has also held executive positions in banking, economic development, and public administration. She is a graduate of the School of Business and Industry at Florida A & M University and the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.
Ms. Alexander serves on a numerous boards and committees to include the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park, the Cleveland Restoration Society, LAND Studio, and the City of Cleveland Housing Advisory Board.
