Organizational Overview

Village Capital Corporation (VCC) is a nonprofit organization incorporated in the State of Ohio and recognized as a tax-exempt entity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

CDFI Certification

VCC is a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. This designation reflects our commitment to providing responsible, mission-driven financing in underserved communities.

Governance

VCC operates under the oversight of an independent Board of Directors composed of leaders in finance, community development, real estate, and civic engagement. The Board provides strategic direction and ensures alignment with VCC’s mission.

Affiliation

VCC was established as a subsidiary of Cleveland Neighborhood Progress and continues to work in alignment with community development partners to advance equitable economic growth.

Purpose

As a nonprofit lender, VCC reinvests its resources to expand access to capital, support community revitalization, and create sustainable economic opportunities—particularly for underserved and historically excluded populations.
